Lovin' Life

Well peeps, I'm looking out my window and it is freakin' beautiful out there! It's been snowing since yesterday evening and now EVERYTHING is completely covered in snow. I love to look at freshly fallen snow, but that's about where my love for snow ends. I hate trudging through it to get out the house. I hate when it freezes over and I am slippin' and slidin' every.damn.where, I absolutely HATE digging my vehicle out from under it, and I hate how it follows you into the car or inside the house.

Right now I am camped out in my living room with a big blanket, an oversized cup of hot chocolate and my text book, studying for Microbiology finals on Wednesday. I must say, even though I wish I was cuddled up with my man instead of my books, I am content. I really am. I am at peace, I am happy and I am comfortable. A few months ago my life seemed to be in turmoil but now I am seeing things fall into place one, by one. My son is doing fine. I speak to him almost everyday.

This whole week I will be running around getting all my stuff together for next semester (which begins on the 27th of this month!). I have to get all my text books, uniforms etc. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I have orientation and CPR training on Thursday and I hear that there will be a raffle where the winner will get ALL the text books! I sure hope that will be me because Lord knows a sista is broke!

Well, happy weekend bloggers! Catch y'all later!

Congratulations Are In Order!!

Pat me on the back, I did it!! I got accepted into the Nursing Program!! I've been doing all my pre-requisite courses since June of last year - when I quit my job and decided to go back to school. I've done well on all of them, getting nothing but A's (and an A+ :-) ). Then I took the NLN entrance exam 2 weeks ago given by the National League for Nursing and passed with flying colors, but I didn't want to say anything yet because the Nursing Department still had to send me that acceptance letter that I'm accepted into the program. Well................I MADE IT!!!

I'm so happy, I just got home and I'm about to pop a bottle of wine and celebrate!! Now the real journey begins because I have to make sure I STAY IN the program. I'm in it to win it y'all, so I'm staying focused. I just can't put into words how excited I am and how much I'm proud of ME!! I've been bustin' my ass working and going to school.......I'd be getting and hour or 2 of sleep a lot of nights but I hung in there.

I pray that I'll be able to handle the new journey ahead.......as usual, I'll keep you guys updated.

Yay me!!! :-)
